I spent years working with students with developmental disabilities. Some days, there was progress. Other days, I wound up in the hospital. I loved it — and here are 7 lessons I learned.

If a Down’s Syndrome child is in a loving home and has other people (teachers/relatives/caregivers) to aid them, they can become very well adapted and productive. They are outstanding in the way they show love to others and we can all learn from them. I admire you Rick for working with them so long. You have to be a special person too. Thank you for sharing this!
