The first impeachment trial of President Donald Trump was a sham rushed through to a pre-determined acquittal by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and included no witness testimony. Hopefully, this second trial will be more worthy of the name. The attack on the Capitol in Washington, DC at the behest of pro-Trump anti-democratic forces was unacceptable in a democratic nation. Trump incited it and did nothing to abate it. Let the testimony begin. – rjc
